Fished the sky on saturday and got to test some lines on the new 9140-4, which doesn't have much in common with the old one. Very powerful, very pleasant to cast. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day to be on the river, was hoping for a fish from the same hole thats given me two from the last two outings but it was not to be. The river being low as it is has been a learning experiance for me, its made me fish different water and learn where fish may hold in low clear flows.

Last two fish were on the 8150-4, would really like to have hooked a fish on the new 9140. This rod has power to spare for sure, would like to have had a line with me that would have loaded it right to the butt section, 9,10,11 cutter was close with 150 grain tip. I am really thinking that the 9/10 midspey would do the trick. I love my old 7136-4 as well and have heard that the new model has more power in the butt section. Can't wait to get my hands on a demo and start testing lines.
