Thanks for the report Jeff. We saw large deposits of weeds on the south side in certain spots as well. Sounds like good numbers of blues and bass have started to arrive in the Vineyard and Nantucket sound waters, things should get more interesting over the next couple of weeks (fingers and toes crossed)

Fished the spit at poppy Saturday morning. Incoming tide, N/NE wind pretty heavy, gusting over 20 at times. Lots of mung, no fish for me. Tip of the spit was unfishable due to the mung coming in, but around the corner the eddies seemed to filter it out a little. Fished the middle of the water column to the bottom with a weighted fly but could not dredge up anything. Saw one buy take a fish drifting cut herring from a boat. Heard rumors of blues the night before.
