The September meeting of the Wild Steelhead Coalition will be held on September 5th at the Bothell American Legion Hall (19213 Bothell Way NE). The meeting starts at 7:00 but feel free to join us for a social half-hour beginning at 6:30.

This month's topic will be presentation of reports by the various committees compiling a "white paper" on steelhead issues. This document, when finalized, will be distributed to WDFW commission members, key members of congress and other parties concerned over the fate of wild steelhead in our region. Specific reports are scheduled on the issues of hook and release mortality, forgone opportunity and the economic impacts of C & R. Public feedback is encouraged!

Different group, but open question to all.

For a ton of years I belonged to the "Steelhead Trout Club of Washington." Are they still around and, if so, can someone give me a name/number to contact them.

I dont want to talk trash as I dont want to walk over the incredible heritage that the McCleods have started and what they have given the sport of flyfishing for steelhead but be VERY careful...
