In its ongoing effort to confuse the recreational fisherman, the State of Connecticut has once again changed the Striped Bass Regulations.
Effective imediately, there is a daily limit of one striped bass measuring from 24 through 32 inches and one bass 41 inches or longer taken from shore or private boat.
If you fish from a charter boat, you may keep 2 stripers 28 inches or greater per day. There will be no closed season for striped bass.
If you find yourself on Ct's sunny shore, make sure you bouble check the regs. The State of Ct has a habit of changing the regulations in mid-season. Usually just in time for the fall run.
I would like to think I was getting back in the groove. But to be honest, I was at work. The only other reason I would EVER be up at that hour would be fishing.
