It's true what they say, I never thought my trusty carbide spiked danners could be defeated. They were enough anywhere else I've fished out west but not the Thompson! Wading staff is the key
The Maiden Voyage went fairly well. I am reading to take on the Calawah and the Sol Duc...just kidding. But I had lots of fun, was able to keep the boat in control and never came close to dumping it. Can not wait to give a try again.
Now I just need to learn how to back the stupid the thing up.
