Spent more time learning Tide Mill Creek. A few fish in the creek, most attacking at the last possible second along the tops of the sod banks. There's a certain peacefulness fishing in these locations, utter silence and peacefulness studded by sheer adrenaline.

Tried the Hampton River outlet at dead low before heading home; glad I did. Herring spraying right at the sand shelf, nearly jumping into my stripping basket. Broke off two heavy fish who took 6"+ deceivers. Some smaller fish landed. Area died with the turning tide. Nothing around the corner to the fishing co-op. The better bank is the mudflat across the channel. Time to put the float tube to work.
