I am leaving for Ambergris Caye in two weeks and DEFINITELY plan on finding myself a few bonefish or tarpon while there (maybe even a permit). My only saltwater setup is an 8wt Sage RPLxi rod, Islander reel and Cortland intermediate line. From what I've read about the tarpon and permit, I think I need a bigger stick (maybe an 11 wt?). Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I've gotten the names of several guides but don't really have any good recommendations. Can anyone recommend someone?
