New Sponsor Titan Rod Vault

Wanted to introduce ourselves as one of the newer sponsors on the Fly Fishing Forum. My name is Paul Bourcq and I am responsible for sales and marketing at Titan Rod Vault. We manufacture an all aluminum, lockable, roof mounted rod carrying system for your fly rods. It allows you to keep your rods rigged up all the time and keep them secure. We recently moved production from China back to Colorado. We are launching a single vault for anglers who dont need to store 3 rods. We also have a double tube Magnum version coming out that will accommodate the largest saltwater and spey rods.

Im an avid fly fisherman and currently live in Western North Carolina. We are excited to be part of the Fly Fishing Forum community. We are rapidly expanding dealers to the west and east and are getting great reviews from our customers. Feel free to contact me or anyone on the team for more information on the rod vault. Also check out our Facebook page.

Rod Vault - rod scuffing

I am wondering if anyone is having problems with scuffing of their rods when using a rod vault. I have a Denver Outfitters rod vault that I have used for several years. I love the convenience. I fish in Colorado and am often on bumpy dirt tracks. I have noticed scuffing on the the outside of the guide banding on my Scott Radian rods. One local fishing guide suggested that it may be the result of the rods bouncing inside my vault tube. Has anyone had similar experience? Is there a solution? One suggestion is that I use foam conduit insulation before I put the rod in the vault. It might be easier to simply break the rod down each time I move locations.

I'm eager to hear what others have to say.
