Todd Ripley It is certainly too bad how the fishing guests treat that piece of property. Though I've done most of my cutthroat fishing well upstream from there, I have done some salmon fishing in the contentious areas, though not for many years.

Hopefully this will serve as a wakeup call to the "anglers" that fish there, and perhaps others that fish elsewhere.

Also, I've heard that the missing dog has since been recovered, found somewhere in Bellingham (45 mins north of the Samish), and is now back in the hands of the owner.

This doesn't have much to do with steelhead but I remember when one could fish this river without any trouble. Used to be able to fish searun cutts here until the snag festival started about 8 or 9 years ago.

No wonder fishermen in general aren't given much respect. Sad reflection on all recreational anglers.
