Our tying gallery at the show....

For those of you who decide to participate in our special tying events at the show, this is the layout we will have during the tying sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

A digital movie camera will be used to zoom and project the business end of the vise onto the screen on the back wall of the booth.

No materials or tools required, we'll have everything set up and ready for each successful bidder.

Once again, your choices are:

Sat:

10:30am - Leland's Beach Popper
1:30pm - Ed Ward's Intruder

Sun:

10:30am - Dave Steinbaugh (Waters West) Waddington OP Special
1:30pm - Mike Kinney, Skagit Minnow

Your participation is the key to this event's success! Bidding is now open:

Why wait... bid early and win!

Juro,

Any thought to producing a video of all 4 of the guest tyers presentations? Sounds like the camera will be in place already. I would donate for a video copy of the 4 sessions. Perhaps folks could place an order at the show and take delivery after the copies are made. Just a thought.

Paul

can't get bid to accept

I've tried several times to place a bid and it keeps throwing me back to not logged on yet I am logged on. I bid $26 for 1 of 4 on Ed Wards tying at 1:30 on saturday. Please accept bid or tell me what I am doing wrong. Also are materials supplied and I bring own tools?

Thanks,

Ray Phelps

Thanks ray! If you don't mind, please just log in again. It's one of the little quirks we've not worked out yet.

You don't need to bring a thing! Just sit down and enjoy the experience. You keep the fly and we'll give you something to put it in as well so it doesn't get messed up during the rest of the festivities.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Pvr -

Thanks for the suggestion, as you might imagine we considered this and discussed it the other night - but to do this respectfully we would need to work out permissions and such with each tyer. We will be taping though so you never know. You'll be first to know and thanks again.

still can't bid

Dear Juro,

Have tried it again several times. Please hold a seat for me at $26 on 1 of 4. I'll try again and use the forum to bid, but it just isn;t working for me. Who do I pay? Can I pay at the show prior to the tying by Ed?

I'm planning on coming to the Spey Casting Clave on Friday and I can pay someone there if you want.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Ray Phelps

Hello Ray,

Not sure why you are having trouble with the auction. I went ahead and put up a bid on seat #4 for you. Let me know if that looks ok.

Cool bid for me

Dear Sean-

Thanks for putting the bid in for me. I don't know what is going on that it keeps tossing me out to log in when I try and place a bid as I am logged in already.

So, thanks for the bid for me; do you know how and when we pay?

Look forward to seeing you.

Ray Phelps

Yes - You can just pay at the show when you sit down at the station.

Thanks!

Taping of the tyers

Juro.....if you ever manage to obtain permission from the tyers to sell the tapes, please let me know as well. I donated approx a dozen flies for the raffle. But I would certainly be willing to make another contribution to the show if the tapes were made available.

I am asking for a tape as I am not able to make the show. It is about an 11 hour drive for me and I just cant swing it

thanks and best regards.....Jake

SNAFU'ed on the camcoder... I am bringing a computer, projector, digital camera, etc but it looks like I am not going to get the camcorder.

Anyone in Seattle have a good digital camcorder available for both days?

If not I can try to swing something on the way to the airport...

arrrrg,

You guys are killing me! I leave town for a week on Sunday and will be out at least three days every week until April. No fishing no casting, no auction chairs to buy (Unless I can get video footage?) Hmmmm a way to make $$$ for the forum and let those less able to attend live vicariously those the magic of video.

I'll provide the camcorder If I can get a copy of the tapes?

Actually I'm going to try an sneek to Seattle on Friday.

If I make it I'm buying lotto tickets

andre

We'll miss you Andre! BTW - thanks for your support lately. I hope to make the Sandy, although things are up in the air right now.
