You can say that again!

15 inches and counting down in New York :eyecrazy:

I decided not to make the commute today. Can't even get through to 212 area code - "beep ...beeep ... beeep all circuits are busy ...."

So far the web is holding up - just praying that we don't lose power.

Stay safe out there!

I feel for you easterners, talked to parents in NJ last night they were getting it, one of our Maryland attorneys this morning, says they have 20+ inches and it is still coming down, now roads are icing etc. One maryland western county supposedly got 47 inches of snow !!

All of our east coast offices from Virginia north are closed.

In Chicago we have 1-2 inches on ground in some areas others have none, and it is going to 30s and 40s this week.

My recommendation is to read fly fishing books, tie more flies, and log on to the forumn.

Good luck

PM Out

Sure hope Penguin gets home from Fla. before the end of the week. He's been shoveling my place out down the Cape in my absense. At least that's what he told me at the SWE show. Swell guy, don't ya think.

And just think, the heavy stuff ain't going to start 'til tonight.

Watching the 'weather' on Good Morning America.

Na, I won't go there. Lets just say 'we've got different weather' out here in So. Oregon.

Thumbs up

While we may feel bad today there are some advantages to living with the snow. I just emailed this picture back to my sister. She had sent it to me 1 1/2 years ago while my brother in law was stationed in Georgia, with a note that this was the size of the one they found in their yard.

Now, what would you rather have in the yard?

Just Shoot Me

About 18 inches here in Hunterdon County, NJ...and still snowing. Took my first pass with the snow blower and managed to level off the high spots. Oh, well...all this water is going to wind up in the streams, rivers and lakes that have been so low for so long...could be worse.

To the Esteemed Mr. JFBasser...shortage of what? Tying materials? Now THAT would constitute an emergency.

Fred, if the C.O. of Area 61 has made it back, and has dug you out as well as himself...watch out! He's building up the upper body strength for some serious distance casting this season. Hmm...there's a method to his madness.

John, while I prefer snow in the yard, rattlesnake tastes better and doesn't shrink as much in the pan.

Oh well, a day at the bench beats a day at work every time. Careful driving to all and to all a good night!

-Doc

The hills of Worcester County (ie. Paxton) is predicted to receive 30 inches. Now.....I've read about fishing claves, tying claves and even golf claves......anyone interested in a snow shoveling clave at 3 Orchard Drive???:hehe:
This winter has been a bute....last year I enjoyed every minute I fished, this year, it will be every second!!

SNOW!?!?!

Why worry, a Unimog makes quick work of any snow.

Someday I'll have to buy one of these things.

Oh, by the way, here is a Unimog that I'm a simple, winning lottery ticket away from owning.

This would make shovels or snowblowers obsolete. It would also make beach travel remarkably easy as well. I think they are made to travel through up to 30" of water, but with these tires you could get through 36" - 40".

Hmmmm, it does have AreaSixtyOne written all over it........
