Angelhair Feather Brain

Trying something new.. Instead of the inside of the usual FB which is bucktail and flashabou..I have made the entire "guts" of the fly all angel hair tied to the shank Mike Martinek style in a clumping fashion. Looks much better in that the flash really shows though but not overpowering . I have three posts here.

John,
Those are really some great looking flies. Will you have some at the casting clave? Have you tried casting them? I am curious as to the wind resistance with the solid nose. Similar to a siliclone maybe?

Sean..I will have some at the clave..don't forget you can make these any sizes..I don't expect anymore wind problems than you might have with a big deceiver or even the deep sand eel with the large dumbell eyes... these flies are lighter and are in a sense more aerodynamic than the usual deceiver. The epoxy is only on the top half of the fly anyway and is a thin coat.

Out of curiosity, what size hook was used on the fly shown?
