Memory du jour - 1-20-03

Case, Nick, Hawkeye & Pete Gray along with the two reserve employees at the chow line

It was yet another magical Boneclave weekend... and the park staff came over to investigate our camp for contraband and to alert us of the rules of the reserve.

We talked them into joining us, and after much urging and a whiff of Hawkeye's cooking they could not resist!

Looks like it was a great get-together. And, doesn't the Penguin look oh so spiffy, so snappy, so sharp in his afternoon fishing garb

I especially like that Federal DSC Design, Olive Relaxation Shirt, Pete - so very appropriate for an afternoon's repast

But you'd already know that, wouldn't ya, you malingering slacker, flying back and forth to that hoochy country club you lived at while I was out slogging around in that filth!!! - THANKS FOR NOTHIN' !!! :eyecrazy:

(Juro - thanks for the jog toward warmer weather and camaraderie)

Juro,
Stupid Question time? With all the budget cuts I suspect that Washburns will NOT be entertaining us this year? I would not mind making a few calls to see about the site this year, if I knew where or who to call, any thoughts?
The picture got the memories stirring!
That was a GREAT WEEKEND!

Along with the freshest sashimi, clams, etc. and good times it was also the ride home that I'll never forget. In the fog, dark and low tide with Capt. Casey pushing his own boat a couple of times.

...poor planning...

Dave...
They put the aircrew hooches so close to the officers club and pool that it was hard to get a good nights sleep...what with the drunks coming home after last call and the ice cream bar that closed at 2300...
And Ms Bungychord (domestic coordinator/engineer) would forget the fabric softener and my clean T-shirts would be scratchy...I hate when that happens!

Penguin -

I'm looking forward to participating in the next boneclave

What's that they say about one eye open at night?

I'll probably be run off the road by a black suburban with smoked out windows & no license plate but here goes...

maybe the next boneclave should be hosted at Area 61!:hehe:

Lightbulb ...club discount available if you book early!...

Hmmm!
'Haven't see the BogMonster in weeks and there hasn't been any "abductions" in quite a while (much less sightings)...
I don't think Area61 is zoned for "camping" but it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!
