Danbury Show - first of the year?

I think the Danbury show is probably the earliest in the Calendar.
I went along today and ran into Sean and his girlfriend. Lefty Kreh was there too looking and sounding his old self - great to see him up and about after his recent illness.

Bob Popovics was demoing his hollow tie and bucktail deceiver patterns.

I ended up picking up a Temple Fork 12.5 ft 8/9 wt double hander for the surf - it was either that or the Loomis GLX 11.5 ft (drooool) at almost 2.5 times the price. Lots of vendors were selling off quality shirts (XO, Sage etc.) and wading pants at 1/2 price - you can get some incredible bargains if you're XXL+

There should be some great deals to be had at Marlboro and Jersey this year.

Adrian,

Nice to see you today. That Polar Bear hollow tie by Popovics sure was special.

Real

Bob was using real polar bear. One of the vendors also had some available for sale. Apparently there is some legal stuff on the market now.
