FLY SWAP # 2---begin

As I send the flies from swap #1 out..you might as well start fly swap number 2. As you recall the same rules aplpy..only 6 flies. This series will be SHRIMP flies. Finally please confirm your participation in this swap by answering this Post.. I assum all those who participated in Swap #1 are in this..but maybe not...also this is also obviously open to all others as well. We keep it to 6 flies, plus one extra for a display we will have, to make life simplier than having to tie one for each participant. Please let me know if you are in or out. Thanks PS... the due day is February 28th...so we can do our third and final swap to end at the end of April.. two months each swap..

Steve, I am sure they are..but that's why we are doing it this way, To work on flies that we may not tie all the time and then see what others are doing, get their recipes and hopefully improve all of our individual skills...so sfter the swap we all can learn something from one another to copy.

FLY SWAP #2

John,

Count me in. This should be fun.

This time I'll remember to tie a seventh fly. BTW, #7 on the Surf Candy is on its way. Sorry for the slip up.

Best regards,

-Doc

Count me in!

Well,

I have never tied a shrimp fly so this will be a good way to force me to learn. I am too proud to swap junky flies.

Count me in.

I look forward to it.

Seeing as we are snowed in up here in NH (9 inches or so in Manchester) I can justifiably start tying today.

John

I am in this one!

I have been mulling over a pattern using natural seals fur (available from Fishermens Feathers - still a forum sponsor I hope). I put the order in recently so there should be plenty of time - if not I'll go with a sub.

Ashley ,and others... these are run to include EVERYBODY who wants in.. Remember the number of flies are not tied to the number of participants... I like to do it this way...that means others can join up at a moments notice as long as we are reasonably close to getting them all by the due date... you submit 6 or 7 flies ...you get 6 back with the 7th for a display to the forum. If I get more than 7, I still divide them up. Low number of flies makes this less torture..like the same number as the number of participants..that way if there are drop outs it will not effect the end result...
