NY Stripers

Left work early yesterday around 3pm to take my 17ft Boat to NJ. In route to get the boat I witnessed a flock of Gulls diving and cartwheeling out in the Hudson River. I did manage to see a few swirls and splashes under the birds! Guess what I will be doing this weekend?

OK Mike..that hurts!... To fish at this time of year hurts my delicate ego. But ..just kidding..looking forward to reports since they are far and few at this time..

Thumbs up Winter Stripers

Striblue,

The fish are always in the Hudson. It just takes a die hard to brave the frigid weather to get the little buggers. Can you say 5mm Neoprenes boys and girls?

I will be fishing in a tributary to the Hudson this weekend as well as a Resevior for some big brown trout if the Stripers arent willing. My friend Rich just hit a 9.5 and 12lb brown on a very small clouser minnow on New Years Eve! I have seen more big browns caught in the past month than I have ever seen caught anywhere.
