Wells, Me area

I'm heading up to Wells in a week. Has anybody been fishing in the general area. If so what's happening? I love the Mousem but it's getting crazy in there. Too many people even at two in the morning. Any other suggestion would be great.

Larry, I spend a lot of weekends in Saco and fish just a little north of wells fairly often. The fishing has been quite good in that general area. I haven't fished the mousam for a couple of months now, but there's plenty of other great water in the area. The fish have moved out onto the ledges, so if you have korkers that's always an option. There's also the york, the ogunquit, the saco, etc. I haven't had much luck on the saco, but some surfer friends have reported seeing some nice fish in the surf at the mouth of the ogunquit(park by marginal way- but get there early, there isn't much parking).

send me an email when you're going to be up, maybe we can get together.

Matt

I've been fishing the Mousam almost exclusively...despite the crowds the fishing has been excellent.
