Striped Bass Feather Brain

Here is a big fly done as a small striper.. I incorporated a new concept... there is no epoxy at the bottom of the head and a there is a gap to the hook shank..though bath tub tests the water flows into the fly and out the new Gill plates and they flutter...neat huh? A fly with realistic gill movements.

John - In an effort to better understand the tying steps for these incredible creations of yours, I've been browsing through the threads. What size hook is this (if you can remember, being that it was posted some time ago)? Can't wait to see the steps in the upcoming FFISW.

Sweet fly, john. Cool pulsing-gills concept ..... and your use of lavender to replicate the iridescent hues of Monroe Saxitalis!
