Best wishes to Riptide!

As some of you may ahve seen on the news this AM, Capt. Terry Nugent, also of the Mass. State Police, was involved in an auto accident with a deer last night.

Terry is said to be recovering. I'm sure he busted the deer!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery buddy!

Roop

We're pulling for you Captain! I've witnessed a few deer related accidents and it's astounding what kind of damage they can do to a vehicle. Sounds like you are on the road to recovery...

Get well soon, Riptide!

Geez, Terry be careful out there!

FYI, If you have never met Terry, but have the Nov/Dec 2000 issue of FFSW laying around, he was my casting model for the two-handed fly rod story called, ' Size Counts!' That is Terry in all of those pictures taken down at Old Silver Beach.

Terry went way out of his way to help me out, even though he had never cast a two-handed fly rod before!

He is a great guy!

That's what you get for having a name like RipTide!

Perhaps you should consider a change to something like CalmSeas or GlassyPond or RollingSurf...you get the idea...

In all seriousness, best wishes. Hang tough. We look forward to seeing you back in the Forum soon.

I think it goes without saying that everyone involved with this community would like to wish Riptide a speedy recovery. I also hope that his family has the strength to celebrate the positive aspects of life, no matter the unexpected turns it may take, this holiday season.

More importantly, though, I'd like to take this time to thank Riptide for the service he provides to the public. His is a job that requires a daily commitment to our safety at the expense of his own. That is a responsibility few of us can appreciate.

Few people take the time to thank police officers for their dedication, myself included.

I think that will be my New Years resolution this year.

Thanks Riptide, and get well soon.........

Best Wishes to RipTide

A resounding second to the sentiments of the Right Hon. Mr. Doogue, and a hearty "get well soon" from the Southern Caucus. It is a reminder to all of us of just how much a police officer "puts it on the line" for us every day. Thanks for being on the job, and rest up for the coming season. You always have a free pass to the Joisey Shore!

Best regards, and Merry Christmas!
