Thanks to everyone

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for my dad. The bypass surgery was a complete success, and he should be going home by the middle of next week.

I printed out all of the responses to the "Hoping for the best" thread and brought them with us. I read them to my dad yesterday in his hospital room because I wanted him to know how many people were thinking of him. When I was finished, he had a question for me.

"You know all of these people?"

"Well, I've only met some of them face to face, but we all know each other from conversations on the internet and e-mails."

"How is it that people who are complete strangers to me can be so supportive?"

"That's what the group is all about. They just want you to know that there are far more people out there pulling for you than you realize."

"Be sure to thank them for me. And some day, I hope to be able to thank some of them in person."

Thank you everybody. You've made a difference, and our family appreciates it.

BTW, dad can't wait to get fishing again.
