Ah, my best steelhead season on the Snoqualmie continues.

This morning between 7:30 and 8am, I landed two – a good-sized hatchery buck and a hen that was about 1/2 to 3/4 the size of the buck. The rain (what little there was), hadn't affected the river at all, but the 2-3 nights of warmer temps did.

It's nice to fish again without standing in ice.

Leland.

PS, Juro gave me a new fly to use after a hot fish took the other fly with him last week. So I guess I have to share these two with him!

Thanks Leland, I really appreciate you using those flies - it definitely makes me feel connected to one of my former home rivers. When the little espresso stand by the Texaco used to serve Torrefazione beans and open at 5am, I spent many an eye-opening moment enjoying something of your creation as well (Leland was the creative force behind the coffee's branding).

I could only enjoy it more if I were there!
