Hudson River 10/3
Left out of Peekskill 8:30am ( darn cold ) chased birds actively feeding but picked up nothing. Blew down to Tellers Point ( AKA Croton Point ) fished the rip there and in the bay. Picked one small 18 inch fish trolling a Gold and Blue Mega Bait. Spoke to a few regulars and was informed that Saturday evening was a blood bath of 24 inch fish. Also got the report of a 30lb fish taken at the bridge by the Train Station. I tend to believe these locals because I see them regularly and swap out info. Most of these guys are out almost daily so when they talk I listen.
BIG FISH should be arriving any day( 20lb+ ) due to the influx of huge schools of shad. For those that can or want to get out there or shoot me a messege and I can help on launches or where to go on foot.
