Big Lost

It was awesome!!! Due to low water conditions they had the flows way down so you could wade everywhere. It is mostly private so we could put in at a camp site above Mackey and walk down and still get back up wading in the channel. Tremendous trico hatch and spinner fall. Never seen so many big fish - they would hang in 12" of water and you could sneak up on them and drop a small nymph when the spinner fall was over - we fished it for 2 days. What is interesting is it has low flow in the spring and good hatches so am thinking that a trip in March with both my 2 wt and spey rod would be fun - big rainbows and steelhead in the same trip!!
