Wachusett/Quinnipoxet (sp?)

Went down to the river this evening and was 1 for 2. Got a nice 19.25 salmon. My mother is going to be very happy, she loves it when I hook up on these land locked salmom. Best evening of the year for me so far. I will have more time to fish now since my girlfriend and I have seperated.

Hows the water levels in the Quinnie above the dam? I had lunch at Tish's on Saturday and the water was up about 6" from 3 week ago in the stillwater.

Dam.......

I haven't been above the dam, just below it. I got three hits without a hook up last night and after a long period of no strikes, I moved and went further up into the fast water. I came back past the spot I was fishing and wouldn't you know it another guy took it and was using the same type of fly and got a nice 19/20 incher. Maybe I will stay put tonight.

Craig..I don't think the Quinnie is that far from me in Winchester... I might try there some time on one of the Saturdays I am not on the Cape...maybe early in the morning before the kids football game..e-mail me your thoughts on times and I can meet you...it's closer than the Swift for me.

Water Level

Water level in the Quinny above the dam is pretty good right now, after the rain from Isidore came through. They have the pump shut down so there is not the usual current below the dam.

I didn't go a check the stillwater, I have been busy getting wood for the up coming winter months.

John, It's 1 hour exactly for me up in Reading. I would love to go too. As soon as I can't get schoolies in MArblehead.
