Rhody Clave kid friendly?

How do people feel about the addition of a nine year old to the group? Will it crimp anyones' style? Do you think it is inappropreate? Does anyone object?
I owe an adventure to my middle boy, Matthew [age 9] and feel this would be a lifetime memory for him. He and I are totally self sufficient as far as fishing and camping, no one else would be responsible for showing us around [last year Matt landed a 29 inch bass from shore in Narragansett]. I would keep him entertained and fed and look after his safety and comfort. He wouldn't be in the way. I don't want to start a trend of bringing a bunch of kids and distracting from the seriousness of the fishing, but I think Matt would be a good fit and believe he might come away with more than just good memories. I know I will enjoy it!
So what are your thoughts guys? Don't be shy!

You have a choice? Bring him if you want.

Hi Mike,

I am planning on bringing my two. I don't think it would cramp anybody's style that much. More so yours by having to look after him. I know I would have a more serious fishing outing without the kids. But if I don't take them I don't go, my wife is as supportive of my fishin as a whining lead balloon.

I believe Don Hafer is bringing his. If it does prove a problem, your both welcome at my campsite.

Greg.

Looking back at the previous gatherings, it was an added bonus having kids like Brandon along! Of course kids are welcome, what kind of fishermen would balk at having the next generation of anglers come along with?

Besides, we'd have to tell George Estey to leave Gregg and Mike at home

I look forward to seeing the boys there!

Thumbs up Kids more than Welcome

Kids are more than welcome, Times like this help build a father, and son bond.Something that they will remember all their lives. When mine were young they went everywhere I went, we fished all over the northeast from Maine to New York. The good times. Have fun while they are young, they growup awfully fast.

Kids, wives, brothers, sisters, ... bring 'em all. I think it's what we're all about.

So much for those "good time girls" I was bringing and that case of JD

I got an 8 yr. old who loves to fish and camp. Maybe next year for him to start claving. Look forward to meeting the little guy Mike.
