First tunoids in Cape area

I failed to mention in my vacation summary that I stopped into the Sporting Life in Mashpee Commons on the way to Chatham. I talked with one of the guides who informed me that three bonito had been caught that morning (Saturday the 20th) in Vineyard Sound. They were deep, below roving bluefish, and not yet tightly schooled.

This was nearly a week ago, but I'm sure that things can only pick up from there. I have no idea about the tunoid situation in CT or RI thus far. This info is relevant for me, because I'd really like to get my first bonito or albie on a fly this season.

Bring 'em on!
