Tuna flies?

Thinking about following the Bill & Kate Howe FPF (flashy profile flies) style.

1/0 - 3/0 in olive, clear, blue, tan & red

Any other suggestions?

I have been working on a fly pattern, that has been working, but the tuna keep taking them It is something like a parrakette fly, as far as the shape goes. I think it represents a butterfish. It is hard to make as instead of deer hair I been using yarn. I want something that soaks up water. I am not proud I troll it in the wash, and they come up and smack it It throws quite a wake. Roop if you are interested, I will see if I can take a picture, or if I see you a fly.

1. 6-8" or more, Green over yellow over lavender over pink over white. Gold, irridescent pearl or fluorescent green flashabou.

2. Furnace (deep, dark, irridescent green) over deep blue over olive over yellow over white; same size, corresponding flash.

3. squid - Yellow/green w/combined color marabou mantle; orange/pink, pink/white, olive/sand, sand/sand, same idea.

Eight schlappen tentacle feathers tied randomly, not matched, flash added over; sparse flash tied ahead of windings of tentacles, about 1/3 length. Palmered mixed color marabou ahead of staggered flash collar, more staggered flash, another collar of mixed marabou. 3/8-1/2" long epoxy glitter head, eyes bonded at junction with marabou collar.

Tied these combinations on larger hooks than 3/0 in past.
