Cool new member

hello my name is iggie.I have been lurking on this board for a while.Thought I would join in .I mostly fish the N.Santiam River, which is convenient as how it is 4 blocks from the house.
Today I caught my frist fly caught summer run of this year. Been hoping for the water temps to rise so I could stop throwing the sink tips. The fish I caught today came on a floating line swing. It measured 35" by 17".Great fun .
If I can answer any questions about the Santiam Rivers feel free to ask.
Ed Igleheart, Mill City,Or.

Damn! Nice fish on a greaseline too. Welcome to the Forum and hope to hear much more about the fishing in the Santiam area thru the season.

Roger that on "damn nice fish!"

Several of the Board members live in the immediate Portland/Vancouver, WA area so you've got lots of company in your back yard.

Caught my first Springer on a fly today.Fished the N.Santiam, second cast was grabbed by a 10 lb. salmon. The next run down stream I got an 8 lb. steelhead. Both fish took a pink woolly bugger.
After the sun came up and onto the water I switched to jig fishing and caught two more steelhead. All in all not a bad morning fishing.
Hope to do well again tomorrow.
