A buddy needs some help

A friend of mine heard I was going to build my first rod and asked if I could do some minor repair on his 'old rod'. I said sure. This guy is generally a spin caster, and if I didn't do a superb job on putting on his missing guide, well, he would live with it.

Well, the guy just told me it was an old bamboo fly rod circa 1960's at the earliest. I told him I wouldn't torture that thing with my workmanship even if he paid me. It just wouldn't be right.

So, anyone know of a good bamboo repair shop in southern NH/Northern MA area (around Keene NH). Heck if you know of a good guy in VT that would work too.

Let me know. Thanks!
