Are there any plans in place for a mid-August trip and if so , how are the arrangements/ reservations handled ? Thanks.

YAH BABY! Point Rip Plans are timely, we should be thinking about it.

First of all, there is the decision on the date based on "key factors". Then there is the commitment for $30 per head for the privilege. We use Paypal for this.

Then you need a backup plan in case of weather. Then the detail about where to meet, etc. A few notes about safety and the possibility of a v-e-r-y long walk, and there you have it!

Anyone want to meister this? That is do everything but collect the payments and write the check to Rip Ryder, understanding that you will have lots of help from everyone interested in going of course.

My suggestion for August dates: August 3rd or 4th; August 17th or 18th

July might be better due to mung

Rip-ping all the way from Joisey

Gentlemen,

This newbie would definitely like to join a Rip-trip )or two or three) this year. Can't see how I could be of use as a Meister, but will help when/how/if I can. Count me WAY in.

-Doc

Hate to sound like a broken record but is there any interest in in catching an early am outgoing at the point and then fish the outside to the north end? Is it feasible (would Rip Ryder do the north end pickup)?

Good question Fred, can I have a piggy back ride? My strides aren't quite as long as yours It's actually a great idea. On our famous death march last year every time I stopped I caught nice fish. Plus any extra time could be spent at the north tip which has been producing giant bass lately.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy!!!

I tried to make a rip trip last year but the weather messed things up. I'll be on the Cape from July 27th until August 17th. Hint, Hint, Hint......

Thumbs up

I'd love to get in on a Rip Trip or 2 this summer! I had a blast last year on the one I made.
