Nuther legal on the Merrimack...

I don't get it....
3-4 years of off and on flyfishing with no legal size stripers.
Now for the 2nd trip in a row, score a legal.
Must be my "guide".
Then again....my local fly fishing buddies are having incredible seasons....and not to mention, I thought that this would never happen....but the fly rod is getting picked up more and more...while the spinning rod is getting used less and less....shhhhh.
I can't tell stories like some of ya can, so I won't bother with any "gory details".
BTW.....blues are around the Merrimack/Joppa area.

Terry,
In past years, I have caught blues up at the Chain Bridge. (It doesn't happen often.)
Blues always manage to show up on Joppa for atleast a couple of days each summer.

cool!

way to go Doug - you're up on me now. I've only got the one to date...

looking to breakl the 30" mark, then 36" then approach 40" as close as possible - all with fly.

jury is still out on the soft plastics (don't think he'll try 'em) but I'm pretty sure he likes the pliers...

Sprocket,
40 incher is the next goal....
yesterday's fish was almost a "knuckle buster"....thought it was much larger than it really was. Quite shocked when I realized..."is that all?"
