Finally...a legal striper

On Joppa to boot...
Tuesday(6/4)...early a.m.
Courtesy of a local boat ride with a different board member or two, a silly, fat, little 33" striper impaled itself on a Buffy fly. Soon followed by a 36" buddy!
Long time coming....but a couple of weeks ago, I reluctantly put my spinning rod down. Told myself to stick with the fly rod until "it happens".
Boat "captain" landed a pair of 38's...other guy aboard, a 36 or two.
A great morning all around.
Thanks guys!
DB

Congrats Doug! That's a nice morning by any methods. Must have had some fun with those beauties. Sounds like it was a great outing for the whole party!

Thanks guys.
It was a LONG time coming.
Looking back, though...it wasn't too bad. Only had to leave my spinning rod alone for a little over three weeks....AND having a couple of boat owning friends sure helped!
Hopefully I'll be able to "repay" before summer is out.

Two great fish in one day, and you have the whole summer ahead of you. Sounds like a great day to me. Congratulations.
