5/23 S.E. Cape Cod Fishing Report and Ramblings:
The word for the day on the flats and surf can only be summed up by saying, WOW!!!!!!! Even with high winds, Ray Charles could have seen and sight cast to these fish! 95% of the fish on the flats today were Blues. 50-50 in the surf. Saw double the number of fish in the surf, with the flats holding their own in a BIG way. Mostly keepers in the surf! Some over 20 lb's! If you are fishing the Cape this weekend, you better bring a truck load of wire. Or face loosing all your perfectly tied (ahemmmmmmm) flies.
A couple of the many Blues, cast at and landed today. Sa - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Surface poppers were the ticket to paradise on the flats and surf. There is only one thing better! (Some of you older farts may have forgotten what that is. he-he)
