RI lodging ideas for next weekend?

Considering an overnight fishing expedition to RI this coming weekend (off the "hook" so to speak for Mother's Day). Any suggestions for a decent place to stay?
Thanks.

Dan,

What part of RI? I've stayed at the Sand Dollar Inn on Rte. 1, between Westerly and Misquamicut. No frills, but if you just want a place to sleep it's ok. I've also camped at Burlingame Campground, which is near Charlestown. That's the only lodging info I have for RI. Hope it helps.

Your best options might be to find a place near upper Narragansett Bay. Fishing is productive and consistant in the spring. Find some tidal flats, herring runs, and estuaries on a dropping tide. You'll have plenty of protection from winds too.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I'll start at the Sand Dollar area and fish from Westerly on up. Thanks again.

I hear things are popping down there! The following weekend is the Saltwater Edge hosted event in Newport for those who can make it.

Details will be posted shortly...

(btw- good luck this weekend!)
