A new book on Steelhead and Salmon Flies

I just posted a question on tube flies. What prompted me was a recent book called "Shrimp and Spey Flies for Steelhead and Salmon". I read a review at http://globalflyfisher.com/reviews/b...gle.php?id=34. I subsequently bought it and I am very impressed. I do agree with the reviewer wholeheartedly, a very good book at an excellent price.
Check it out for yourselves.

Tom.

PS.I do not know the authors of this book nor do I have any commercial interest in the sale of this book.

Thanks

I love books, usually old salmon/stelhead books. But I especially love newer pattern books. Just love to see what everyone else is tying. May have to pickup a copy myself.

Sounds like a wonderful read.

But given the book is printed in the UK, any idea if it's available (and from whom) here Stateside?

i believe i have seen this book, and my opinion differs a little bit.

i have a problem with fly-tying books where the fly plates are drawings and not pictures of the flies. i prefer to see the real thing versus an artist's rendition of the flies.

it's not a bad book though, but one should know that before buying it sight unseen.

i'm pretty sure Waters West in port angeles has this book. the number is (360)417-0937

Well, I prefer photo's too, but just

dropped the dime at Amazon. Worst case is I've got a great 'coffee table' book.

Yeah, I ordered my book from amazon. At $ 23.60 I figured I couldn't do much wrong. But as I said I was very pleasantly surprised. You can catch a glimpse of the illustrations in the aformentioned review - I still think they are exceptionally well done.
