CCA-NH March Banquet & April/May Meetings

Annual Banquet & Membership Meetings

State Information

March 30 - Fourth Annual Banquet and Auction. Join us at Yoken’s Restaurant for a pleasant evening with great food and exceptional company. Premium rod & reel combos, a Mercury motor, Walden kayaks, guided saltwater trips, flies, lures, and valuable gift certificates are just the beginning of the merchandise, artwork and services that will be available for raffle and auction. There will be a special raffle for new CCA memberships so bring a non-member along -- all are welcome. Doors open at 5:00 PM.

The banquet is our primary fund-raising event for continuing our marine conservation efforts in the state. CCA-NH welcomes your support. Please call CCA-NH at 731-2669 to order tickets and for more information.

CCA-NH’s State Board of Directors meet monthly. The next scheduled meeting is on April 10th at The Yard Restaurant in Manchester, NH. Come at 5:30 PM for dinner and conversation, the meeting begins at 6:00 PM (all are welcome to attend).

Seacoast Chapter Membership Meetings

April 17 - "Big Stripers in Skinny Water." Bill Hubbard presents his informative slide show on how, when, and where to find big bass in shallow waters. The discussion will focus on presenting artificials (flys and plugs) to "match the hatch" in various shallow water locations from kayak, float tube, small boat and wading. Weather permitting, Bill's fully rigged kayak will be present with all the gear he uses to stalk saltwater gamefish here in New Hampshire and the surrounding area. A must-see.

May 15 – “Locals Night.” Learn what techniques and patterns/lures will be effective this season! Seacoast Chapter members and Directors will be available to demonstrate fly and conventional rigging (knots and terminal tackle). Captains and experienced locals will be on hand to discuss how and where to fish in NH, northern MA, and southern ME. Tackle will be displayed and fly-tying will be demonstrated. This will be our last membership meeting until the Fall.

Both Seacoast Chapter meetings will be held at the Urban Forestry Center, 45 Elwyn Road, Portsmouth, NH. Doors open at 5:30 PM for Seacoast Chapter Board of Directors meeting (all are welcome to attend) & door prize, raffles, and refreshments. Program starts at 7:00 PM. Free admission for members, guests and friends.

Central Chapter Membership Meetings

April 15 – “Jack Gartside’s Saltwater Program.” Popular Boston-area angler and tier Jack Gartside presents a mixed bag of New England saltwater fishing including secrets of Boston harbor and unusual saltwater fly patterns. Jack’s patterns and pamphlets will be on display and will be for sale. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from this regional legend.
