Rhody Flyrodders Casting Clinic

Our region's oldest Salt-Water flyfshing club, the Rhody Flyrodders, is continuing it's Pre-Opening Day fly casting clinic tradition. It will be held Saturday April 6th at Governor Notte Park, North Providence, RI at the beach are and will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is open to all.

The event is to teach beginners the fundamentals of fly-casting as well as instruct advanced casters in improved techniques. The principles can be used in both salt and fresh water. Members of the Rhody Flyrodders will be available to answer questions about tackle and fishing methods. Veteran fly caster Bob Hines will provide opening fly fishing presentations and offer advice on what constitutes balanced tackle.

DIRECTIONS: Governor Notte Park (Twin Rivers) is located directly off RI Route 7 (Douglas Pike).
FROM THE NORTH: Route 295 both directions to the Route 7 exit. Continue on Route 7 South. After crossing over the Smithfield/North Providence town line there will be a large body of water (Twin Rivers). Continue on to the entrance of the parking lot.
