Thumbs down Imminent Registration Requirement for CT Yaks

Came across this link on the North East Paddlers board

http://www.npmb.com/dcforum/DCForumID1/2702.html#8

My initial reaction was, oh no here we go again - the folks in Hartford must have heard I just ordered a new Yak.

You just wont believe this..............

I just checked back and the paddlers scored a minor victory but it's almost certainly not the end of the story if State Rep. Peter Panaroni has his way.

If he represents your district you may like to remind him it's an election year!

Kudos to those who turned up at the public meeting.

Take another look at the link and see the justification that was being given for registration - can you believe "Homeland Security"?

It seems that certain property owners in the Thimble Islands are concerned that Osama and his goons are gonna turn up and blow them up. Does this smell like a poorly veiled attempt at restricting access?

This story deserves to make prime time TV!
