STRIPED BASS SEASON - OCEAN TRAWL: ATLANTIC OCEAN

Preston P. Pate, Jr., Director, Division of Marine Fisheries, hereby announces
that effective at 12:01 A.M., Friday, February 22, 2002, the season for the harvest
of striped bass with ocean trawls in the Atlantic Ocean waters of North Carolina
WILL OPEN. Harvest will be allowed on one day (February 22, 2002) only. Harvest will be
allowed until 5:00 P.M. and all catches must be at the fish house/dealer by 8:00
P.M. Striped bass harvested in this fishery may be sold only to and purchased
by a currently licensed finfish dealer possessing a valid 2002 Striped Bass Dealer
Permit validated for the Atlantic Ocean.

I get so frustrated sometimes. This came out as a proclamation and we are not going to be able to do anything to stop it. Geniuses, not.
