My flys must Sux?

Today I was tossing a fly that I thought would be a real killer but it went untouched.
Switched to a slugo and the fish were all over it every cast, switched back to fly nothing.
Again back to slugo changed the color did not matter fish were on it before it sank? I did pick up some fish on flys but nothing like the slugo.
Anyone got a good slugo pattern?

Don't do it John... don't go there.... come back.... from the dark side.... }>

Seriously, it wasn't the sluggo verses fly, it was that the sluggo happened to fit into the feeding triggers that the fish were keyed into.

I have had just as many days where I am outfishing all the sluggo guys with flies, and other days when I can't buy a keeper despite the live-liners getting them all day.

Damn it you're just going to have to take me out where all these fish were so I can try to prove it to you ;-)
