Cooler consolidation - BC

We learned in the past that coolers should be consolidated as much as possible, they are huge and we often have too many.

Fish storage should maximize available ice on the island, so we should put the fish into one big smelly cooler (not suitable for food). I have a 100 quart fish cooler I will bring.

! We should also have a big food cooler that maximizes ice.

! Boats will have coolers on board typically.

! Small personal coolers are no problem and a good idea

! People who are staying all three days are the best candidates for bringing big coolers.

Anyone who is staying the duration please reply if they can bring a large cooler...

I will be bringing a fairly large cooler (~30 qt), which will contain steak tips (vaccuum sealed) with lots of ice.

The GEAR list had M. Estey as slated to bringing a fish cooler and Bob Parsons as a large cooler. Now with Juro and Grego we are up to 4 large coolers 2 of which are fish. I'm sure a few others will bring medium size ones too. I'll leave it to you 4 to work it out.

ICE: Tim Watts was slated to bring some. Is he out totally now? We all should bring a bag. One trick I do is make a block out of a gallon jug. Leave a couple inches at the top for the ice to expand.

Yes, Tim is out unfortunately. We'll miss him this year for sure.

Everyone should bring a bag of ice, per the earlier post.

Thanks for the cooler clarification, that closes that discussion up nice and neat.
