Plum Island - is it worth the hour+ trip tomorrow?

Thinking of maybe taking a trip down to PI Sunday - figuring the crowds are gone. Anyone been down there catching anything lately?

Terry - you out there?
Sully - what do you think?

I'd say no until fresh reports of fresh fish turn up. But then it's hit and miss nowadays. Check the wind forcast too. If it's gonna blow like today, forget it.

I don't know about the north shore, but I just got back from rhody/south shore, and the wind is blowing 35mph right now, and it's supposed to get stronger before it dies down. I just looked and they're calling for 15-20 at pi tomorrow. If you go i'd pack a spinning rod.

Dave,

If the weather is anything like today I would say NO!

I went there this morning and picked up 3 schoolies in the river.
The wind was honkin and the surf rippin. The beachfront was weed every cast.

Yesterday however the beachfront had a two hour blitz of large bluefish in front of PL 1.

Thanks sully.

Hey you're lookin as handsome as ever in that pic. Nice hat!

I am thinking of hitting it one morning this week - just to say I tried. Did not get out today due to everyone saying the wind was going to be a bear.

TL,

Dave
