First semi-serious day of the season for me is Sat

I need to secure off-sand privileges so will be on cape this weekend... although the weather is supposed to take a turn for the worse it would be a waste not to investigate the area and limber up the arm a bit.

So far it seems like John, Mike, JeffB, Colby and friend, and Roop on Sunday.

Nathan is hedging his bets to the west, wisely.

Anyone else going to scout this weekend?

I'll be bouncing back and forth to the Cape. Will probably do early am sorties to Bass River.

Great Fred, hope to hook up with you. I need to be in Orleans mid-morning but will be fishing back to the mainland along the south side from there. High tide is around noon and this time of year the fish aren't concerned about daylight.

Juro, I will be at my place, CAC starting Friday night and will fish early Saturday morning... then back to the house to finish the trim... Don't forget to stop by or come by in the eve for a break.. that goes for anyone else. If I am not around when you come it is only that I will be doing an errand and be back asap.

Thanks John! I will enjoy viewing the oil painting in it's rightful place at the Chatham Angler's Club (CAC). Let me know where you will be late morning, I will be fishing my way back to the mainland from Orleans.

Juro,
I just sent you an email, then saw this post. Will be in Orleans from 6pm Sat to 5pm Sun. Plan to fish Sat early evening and early Sunday morning. Need to start painting by about 10 Sunday.

(of course, it will be hard to turn in the flyrod for a roller if there is action)

Great! I'll be in the Orleans area mid-morning, let's figure out where to hook up on Sat. If I didn't have my own home projects on Sunday I would gladly help you and/or John. Unfortunately I need to head back north and check off my own honey-do list before the action really heats up.

Well,

Jeff Borkowski (jeffb) and I plan on fishing from Saturday morning on through Sunday afternoon if the action is hot. I will be cruising around from spot to spot and seeing what I can find for fish. I will hit Chatham, the Bass, Herring and Parkers Rivers and then Poppy and the Falmouth Ponds. I might even bring my kayaks so that I can go cruising for fish. We shall see.

Any way that you look at it I would love to meet up with you guys. If you are going to me in any of these areas then drop me an e-mail and we can make rough plans to meet up.

I might also hit Rhody on Saturday night/Sunday morning if the Cape is slow.

I hope to see some of you out there this weekend.

-Doogue

Wow, Lots of guys fishing this weekend. Maybe we should get a cell-phone list going thru email. Adrian, I will be in Pocassett at some point to drop my boat off at my dads. I don't have an exact game plan, but tides in Upper B-bay look good with early AM & early PM outgoing. Probably going to boat it in the AM, then hit some shore haunts in the PM.

Good idea GregO - I plan to be somewhat mobile to help find a pod of bright spring fish to kick-off the season. I will see what devices this new software has to offer to provide a directory of contacts off line...
