Spoon Fly

Has anyone tried a pearl spoon fly on the tunoids? After observing the peanut bunker in the water a redfish type pearl spoon fly looks like the answer. I tied a Zonker with an extended type of spoon like body have not used it yet will post results.

This year has really taught us that innovation is necessary. I think you might be on to something.

When someone figures out the "school of a thousand pogies" please post it

RE:Spoon Fly

FA and Bones are actually really stupid fish as far as what they eat. Once they start attacking bait they swim almost full speed through the bait eating away. it is hard to tell what your eating swimming into it at 25-40mph. Anything that remotely looks like a bait fish will do the trick. The problem is finding them and presenting to them. So they will work. I used them alot down south. I like silver best.

Yeah I know this is coming from a guy who slings sluggos with a flyrod but...

Spoon & fly are synonymous to me like... fire & gasoline or alcohol & firearms.

RE:Spoon Fly

People in Sluggo houses should throw spoon flys.

RE:Spoon Fly

One thing Nate - the tunoids this year sure made dummies out of a lot of fishermen... for being such a dumb fish that is. Me being one!

Last year was a lot easier. I blame the presence of billions of tiny pea bunker.
