Rhode Island Weekend

I'll be in Mystic, CT this weekend and I will probably venture over to the Weekapaug, Quonny, Napatree area. Anyone else gonna be out there? We should meet up one of the mornings and try to find what Capt. Perez is teasing us with. Email me (<a href="mailto:nick_svencer@hotmail.com"><!--autoemail-->nick_svencer@hotmail.com</a><!--autoemail--> ) if you want to get together.

RE:Rhode Island Weekend

hey Nick,

It's not a tease, unfortunately this cold front might push the tunoid out and about.

best,

Oh it's a tease alright - not meaning you intended it to be, but no one can look at it without being blown away. Kinda like... never mind, this is a family program!

You know... "wish that was me in the picture"

RE:Rhode Island Weekend

Ruben,

Are those strippers - uh, I mean stripers - in the photo or Fat Alberts?

RE:Rhode Island Weekend

I'm going to say FAs, I think I see a couple comin' clear out of the water, which is not very striper-like! I mean stripper-like.

Flawless logic, but watch I'll be wrong!

D'OH ... I'm looking at the picture shown in the "Weekly Protocal" Post! I think you're talking about the one that Ruben has the button for (just above)! My bad! That's I tough one ... No Guess!

That photo is outstanding Capt. Perez!!!

Just to think two weeks ago Wednesday I was standing in the middle of a blitz with stripers birds and bait like that at PI all by myself. Man this season is just too short. And hockey's is waaaaayyy too long. If the good Lords willing, I'll try and make it down there before it's a wrap.

RE:Rhode Island Weekend

After a few more guesses from this group of experienced fly fishermen-- I will tell you what kind of fish are in both photos. The weekly protocol (1) and the openner in my web page (2).

All right-- its a tease

If I had to fish only one month of the year, this is the one... the fishing is great, juro will post a report i sent him with more pix. so if you fellas can get out there -- do so!

BTW, look at my post to Al D's on his scouting trip for a fly hint. And remember, if you read between the lines, I will always help, but lead by the hand... you guys don't need it from the quality of knowledge I meat at the last clave.

best to all,

RE:Rhode Island Weekend

Sorry guys,

If you had guessed, I would have given a free trip to the lucky winner

1. In the protocol-- busting blues--looking like piranah, boy did I feel sorry for the bunkers. Bunker fly is the pattern of the season.

2. In my WEB page-- Mushies- or better know as Skipjack tuna-- this one would have been hard to guess.
