Quote of the Day

Exxon"Regrets the oil spill on the Yellowstone River." Give me a break... a huge disaster. One of the Blue Ribbon Famous River in Montana now destroyed by a oil spill. Someone needs to educate the oil companies on what they say about disasters that they cause. It's like the BP executive that said he wants his life back after the oil spill in the Gulf. FishHawk

They euphemistically referred to this spill as a "release" which, incidentally was bad enough to require evacuation of 140 local residents for fear of a gas explosion.
Their cluelessness is epic, sullying a national treasure every now and then seems to them to be simply one of the prices of doing business.

Though this does not make it any better the place where the release took place is a warm water fishery with few trout. Lot of carp, cat fish, suckers and small mouth. Maybe a few browns hiding out in the old cars that line the bank for bank control. I think there are 2 or 3 refineries right there in south east Billings and one in Laural 30 miles up river. Never the less beautiful open country once you get east of Billings.
