Looks like summer time for sure...

The local reefs had had excellent striper action with the squid, but that dried up over the weekend. I had to change plans slightly and found fish on the flats but not hitting the usual baitfish patterns. What were they on?

Yes, crabs. Sight fishing to difficult large fish at its finest. The easy days of spring are over down this way, so until the fall run it's hit or miss on the reefs, sight fishing the flats, or fishing after dark. Not that I'm complaining, as I like the challenge.

Hey Mark, Try the proverbial Woolly Bully, Chartreuse or Pink, got over 100 (2 FFishers) pikers today on these critters!

Hey Pete, good to hear from you and nice to know that the Woolly Bully is still fooling those Canadian pike. It's also a good squid imitation out here in the white color....trouble is keeping it away from the bluefish so they don't swipe it from the stripers.
