Elizabeth Islands

Found hit and miss schoolie action in the holes and south shore coastline of the Elizabeths this morning. Bit foggy .... Fish would pop up for a few minutes and then disappear. Tons of bait - commorants and terns having a field day.

Nice to see a few small fish - littlest was maybe 14" - would feel better about the stocks if we started seeing many more of those.

My buddy managed a huge scup at slack in Wood's Hole ...

All 2 - 3 inch flies, with olive and a bit of lavender mixed in.

Hope everyone is getting out on the water this weekend!

Thx for the report... I've been tied up with events all weekend but hope to make up some time this week before/after work.

I have been seeing some good amounts of small fish in several areas so far this season that gives one hope for the future. Was fishing a rip off a jetty this morning and landed a half dozen large scup on large sand eel pattern. I outfished a guy to my left that had seaworms and squid Seems like a good scup season so far. Got bit off by a blue and that was about the only 'gamefish' action.

Good sign that you caught some little guys. It's been a strange season. Talked to a lot of locals and everyone is saying the same things. It's a strange season.
