Nice fly. I have never seen these used over here in Scotland, do you fish them wet or dry?

I fish them wet. The first of these was created by Lee Wulff and called a Surface Stone Fly. It was fished dry and then wet on the swing.

I think it would be a real banger in Scotland on the faster waters. Lot's of action from the stiff hackle and the marabou or mallard feather wing. The mallard or Amherst wings are single feathers laid on flat. Here are a few more variations along with Lee's advertizement from the mid 70's.
