striper clave

Any thoughts on the dates this year,13th-15th or the 20th-22nd of May?I believe the 13th -15th are the beginning of the full moon tide .

I'm not knowledgeable enough on Canal tides to say, so I will defer. However, you can count me in regardless of date provided it's a weekend, and that's not 100% an issue either

Striper Clave

Paul, are you talking about the 2hand get together, the traditional 'Striper Clave" or figuring on doing both the same weekend? I know in the past there have been some 2-handers getting together on the Friday of the Striper Clave Weekend and then going with the flow on Saturday, Morris Island, South Beach, Rip Trip or the 'flats'. Don't know why but I had thought that the proposed 2 hand gathering/discussion/fishing was not part of the Striper Clave but in addition to. Probably my mistaken interpretation but can you clear up my confusion.

Separate dates.

I'm refering to the traditional striper clave dates, completely separate from the 2 hand clave.

Good

That is what I thought you were saying but Juro's reply about "Canal Tides" had me confused. May 21st weekend appeals to me but not the ideal tides. Juro, Striblue, JimS and others with more knowledge than I, what do you think about "Striper Clave" dates?
Thanks for the quick answer, Paul.

This is one of those annoying years when the best astronomical tiers fall mid week.

For bayside and the ditch 20/21 is marginally better and has morning lows, there should be more fish around and hopefully better weather.

For the sound side, flats etc 13/14 may be better.

Either way, I'll be in and staying at the handkerchief shoals most likely.

Mark

Paul, good thinking about clave dates now that everyone has the winter doldrums. The weekend of May 21st has the last of the full moon tides and is the weekend prior to Memorial Day. That would be my pick, but I'lll defer to our leader to select the date(s).

YES

Agreed that Annual "Striper Clave" invasion of Chatham and surrounding waters is May 21-22 weekend? Once that is definite vacations can be planned, reservations made and dates can be looked at for other endeavors. I think we may have been pushing it a little for the 14-15 weekend and would guess that Memorial Day Weekend would not be the greatest. Juro, does that weekend fit your schedule, seeing as how you end up being the 'chief planner and ring master'?

Hi Guys sorry unable to make this years Clave. I really enjoyed last years plus the dinner on the evening. The Clave is just a tad early for me this time around. I hope you all have a good time.

Great Dates

Hey Guys,
I will be there that weekend and I look forward to seeing the group again.
Walt, Tommy and others should also be on Cape then, also.
Cheers
DK
